Who We Serve

The young people behind our work

UpLyft is built for Birmingham youth navigating the toughest transitions — those the system too often hands a diploma and a goodbye.

Foster youth ages 14–24

Currently in care, transitioning out, or recently aged out of Alabama's foster system.

At-risk youth ages 12–18

Living in unstable housing, kinship care, or under-resourced households across the Birmingham metro.

Opportunity youth ages 16–24

Disconnected from school or work and seeking a path back into education, training, or a first career.

Young parents ages 16–24

Balancing parenthood with school, work, and the search for safe, stable housing.

All programs are free to participants. Eligibility is confirmed through partner agencies, schools, and DHR caseworkers.

UpLyft is a new organization. As we serve our first cohorts, we'll publish verified, third-party-evaluated outcomes here. We will never report numbers we can't back up.
